What’s In Your Glass? – Newcastle’s First Ever Real Wine Event – Celebrating and Exploring Natrual, Organic, and Biodynamic Wines from the Hunter Valley and Beyond…
When wine was first made approximately 8,000 years ago, it was not made to standard measure, large export, commercial quantities, using bags of enzymes, yeast, vitamins, cryoextraction or artificial tannins – it was simply made from crushed grapes that was fermented into wine – it was made to be drunk, and to be enjoyed.
In this way, What’s In Your Glass? seeks to showcase the pleasure and enjoyment of real wines – wines that have been made without the use of synthetic chemicals, additives, or other manipulations – from the Hunter Valley and beyond.
Sunday the 28th of July see’s Newcastle play host to a very special event, which features a tasting, at The Reserve Bar, of real wines from around Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and France – followed by dinner at Bacchus restaurant Newcastle, with a menu created especially for the evening by award winning chef Tim Montgommery.
The dinner will also present the opportunity to taste and compare wines that have been submerged in the mouth of the Hunter River for up to three months…
